I created Roam Magazine, a lifestyle publication designed for digital nomads who embrace the freedom of remote work while seeking adventure and new experiences. The inspiration behind Roam was born out of my desire to merge my passion for design with the dynamic and ever-evolving digital nomad culture.
With Roam, I aimed to capture the essence of modern nomadic living while offering practical resources and inspiring stories that resonate with a diverse audience. Each issue of Roam highlights remote work destinations, top co-working spaces, and personal journeys of digital nomads, offering a blend of insightful content and visual storytelling. By focusing on real-life experiences, I aimed to empower readers to embrace their own nomadic freedom.
The design of Roam reflects a modern yet nostalgic aesthetic, inspired by mid-century modern design elements that convey a sense of sophistication and adventure. I paid careful attention to typography, color schemes, and layout to ensure that the magazine is not only visually engaging but also user-friendly for a digital audience.
Creating Roam Magazine allowed me to develop my skills in editorial design, branding, and content creation while also challenging me to think critically about how to present information in a way that appeals to both aspiring and experienced digital nomads. Through this project, I explored the intersection of design and lifestyle content, resulting in a publication that I am proud to include in my portfolio.
